Honda Motor Company has issued a mass recall for air bags they fear might be explosive. The air bags, which were made by Takata Corp, have the potential to explode and unleash hot metal and plastic shrapnel into the driver.
Honda owners in the following states should take notice: Alabama, California, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Texas, as well as in Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
Two of the most popular models affected are the 2001-2007 Accord and the 2001-2005 Civic. Click here and scroll down to see the complete list.
So far there have been two deaths linked with the faulty Takata air bags, with both accidents having taken place in a Honda Accord.
