]]> Prior to his death, Robin Williams was put on medication to treat early stage Parkinson’s disease. Actor and friend, Rob Schneider, believes it was that medication that lead to Williams’ death.

Influenced by the sadness that came with the death of his friend, Schneider even called the pharmaceutical industry “evil.”

The opinion of CitizensReport.org is as follows: prescription drugs save lives and better the lives of many, but their danger is real. The multi-billion dollar giants of Big Pharma are handsomely rewarded for all the good they do. They make their money by helping needy citizens, and also by convincing thousands of people to self-diagnose through culling advertisements. Showing happy-go-lucky imagery while reading off dangerous side effects is their way of downplaying the risks that come with their medications. Big Pharma believes they should get off scot-free for the suffering that patients endure at the hands of their medicines. They are wrong.
